Mike Knudtson
President and Owner
Mike Knudtson is the visionary founder and current President of Electronic Transfer, Inc. (ETI), established in 1989. With a rich background in Outdoor Electric Signs, Mike distinguished himself early in his career by achieving five National Sales Records as both a top-performing salesman and a successful manager in his early 20s. His entrepreneurial spirit has been a defining characteristic throughout his life, driving him to pursue various business ventures.
Mike’s journey into the payment processing industry was inspired by a personal experience. A friend of his, who owned a gun store, faced significant challenges in securing a credit card processing service due to the restrictive policies of traditional banks. These institutions often refused to work with Internet, Mail Phone order, or home-based FFL Dealers. Recognizing a critical need in the market, Mike founded ETI to provide specialized Merchant Account services to the firearm industry, ensuring that FFL Dealers could operate smoothly and efficiently.
Over the years, ETI has grown to become the nation’s largest Merchant Account Provider for the Firearm Industry, amassing a vast and loyal customer base. While the company specializes in serving the firearms vertical, it also extends its expertise to a wide range of other business types, demonstrating versatility and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Mike is an avid outdoorsman. When he’s not leading ETI, you can often find him hunting in the picturesque mountains of the Pacific Northwest. He also has a passion for motorcycles, frequently exploring the winding country roads of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. Mike’s love for adventure and his dedication to his business reflect his dynamic and multifaceted personality, making him a respected leader in both his industry and community.
